"So Cute" Layout with Lisa

Hi there
Today I am sharing a 12x12 layout I have created with the "Jade" kits with a real difference.

It's a more masculine layout! So many pretty soft pastels & florals in the kit - which I love to create with! Sometimes you just need to look outside the square (or at the reverse of your patterned papers - lol)

One of the Kaisercraft papers in the kit was orange with lighter orange polka dots - what a great background piece!
I knew that I wanted to feature this under the white American Crafts die cut sheet.

When using a bright colour like orange boldly like this - I like to keep the embellishing to two other colours. In this case black & white.

Here are some close ups...

I used washi tape from the kit, I cut sentiments & word strips from the Cocoa Vanilla papers.

A few black pearls & sequins to complete the look.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you've enjoyed my share.
Make sure you check out our kits & what else we have in store here.

Mixed Media Canvas using the Jade Kits

Hello scrappy friends, Cathi back again! This week I am back with something a bit different! I did a mixed media canvas using the Color Kits from the Jade and Nigella kits, along with cutaparts from the Pretty Little Kit (PLK) and doilies from the main kit (TSK).  Something a bit different, but I love how it turned out!! Lots of layers of colors and I like how some of the patterns are subtle building up the layers.

For this first photo you can see several patterns I did as well as the cut aparts.  I started the canvas my spraying the Kaisermist Pink and Winter Gray mists to do a full coverage of the canvas. I let the colors run down the canvas for some lovely effects.  Here you can see where I used the Kaisercraft Acrylic Pink paint from the TSK to make some roses with the stencil in the Jade color kit...subtle but gorgeous effect!

The chevron pattern is also a stencil from the Jade kit while the Heidi Swapp silver metallic texture paste came from the Nigella Color Kit.

Here you can see the roses popping out from the canvas adding subtle layers. I have added several doilies and cut outs to add detail and movement to the canvas.

Project Life Spread using the "Jade" kits

Hi there
Today I am sharing a Project life spread I have made using the gorgeous "Jade" kits.

I'm my albums I usually combine 12x12 layouts with Project Life spreads, depending on the photos I have used.
Do you remember this layout I shared a couple of weeks ago?

Here are some close ups...

As you can see the photos are from a similar series of photos, with the same theme.

I bought as many similar colours, patterns & bits of ephemera back in to this layout to make it all cohesive.

Thanks for stopping by, make sure you check out our kits if you're looking for an Aussie based kit club - that is fabulous value for money.

"Just Lovely" - Lydia

Hello scrappy peeps, I hope you are all having a lovely Sunday. I sure am while doing school assignments and a few crafty things while it rains here in south-east Queensland.
Today I am sharing a fun grid style layout using the "Jade" kits.

Here is the full layout.
This has to be my favourite layout so far using these kits. Before joining The Scrappery team I had never used Cocoa Vanilla Studio but now I am just in love with all their collections.

I really wanted to use the three squares by 3 squares are I don't normally do that design style. Each square is 3x3 inches (I think). I did have one of the squares for my photo to be in. And with this kit there are so many cute mini embellishments that I could make many little clusters around the page.

The paper doily I placed behind my photo I think made the layout soft and delicate.

For all my little embellishment clusters throughout the layout I used the Cocoa Vanilla Studio cut a part sheets that came in the PLK.

Now I may have mentioned this before in a bog post but I don't normally go for embellishments that give my pages a lot of dimension except for the likes of flair and some foam tape. But since getting The Scrappery kits I have jumped outside comfort zone and started using the KaiserCraft floral blooms which are perfect for my love of clusters.

So there you have it another layout using the "Jade" kits. As I mentioned earlier this is my favourite layout so far using these kits. I better get going on my school assignments so that I can have some creative time to create next weeks project for you scrappy peeps to see.

Have a great week.

This Life is Pretty Wonderful: Layout and Project Life spread with the Jade Kit

Hello fellow scrappers, Cathi back again with another layout and Project Life spread with the gorgeous Jade kits!  I am really enjoying this size this year and think I will be sticking with it for a while! This project uses a lot of Kaisercraft and Cocoa Vanilla goodness and continues the documenting of my daughter's trip to London with her ballet class!

The layout for this project features a specialty paper from Kaisercraft. It is embossed with some beautiful subtle floral patterns and I used the pink and gray Kaisermists from the Color Kit to color the background and have the pattern show more clearly. I always add a small strip of kit paper to the edge of the page protectors where the holes are punched, this paper is a Kaisercraft floral from the Dream Big collecton included in the main scrapbooking kit (TSK).

In this close up above you can see some of the layers of gorgeous Cocoa Vanilla papers from the main kit tucked under the photo. The title "this life is pretty wonderful" is from a Cocoa Vanilla cut apart sheet from the Pretty Little Kit (PLK). I added a coral Kaisercraft Paper bloom and some sequins from the TSK and some splashes of color from the Kaisermist sprays.

Here you can see where I used the chevron stencil to spray the pink Kaisermist. I have added some more paper layers tucked under the photo, some more paper blooms and sequins and a cute die cut leaf flourish from the TSK.

I finished my layout with some strips of journaling about my daughter's trip, you can see where I have sprayed the gray Kaisermist which has really brought out the floral pattern in the background of the specialty paper!

Lots of fun photos in the Project Life spread to accompany the layout! They loved shopping, riding the tube and eating...

These times together were "priceless" for this photo I simply added the cutout from the PLK Cocoa Vanilla cut apart sheet.  I added a few simple pearls from the Bits & Pieces Kit (BPK) in the top corner of the photo to finish it off.

I love the Best Day ever cut out, I just popped it up on foam tape and added some pink rhinestones from the TSK. For the photo I simply added some teal pearls from the PLK along with more cut outs "remember" and "always".

For my final pocket in my Project Life spread I added the 4x6 card of the gorgeous Dream Big Kaisercraft paper from the PLK, added a doily, some fun photos of the girls on the Tube again and a little bow from the Pretty Little Pieces in the and the pearls from the BPK.

Sugar Coma - Travellers Notebook Layout

Hi there

Today I am sharing a spread I have done in my Travellers Notebook using the "Jade Kits"

I have several Travellers notebooks, I like to use them for the random photo that I want to scrap, that perhaps doesnt always warrant an entire page.
Its a fun way to document & surprisingly more challenging than a 12x12 layiut - maybe as there is less space available Its fun to mix things up for sure.

My daughter & I tried out a cafe that I'd seen lots of reviews on. The shakes were amazing - neither of us could finish them it really was too much! I did suggest sharing but was a no go as she wanted Bubblegum flavour (YUK)

Here are some close ups.
I made a little shaker pocket using the gorgeous sequins from the kit.

I stamped the doily image a couple of times in light green/teal colour to bring everything together.
I also used a cut apart from the Cocoa Vanilla papers to use for my journalling.

The Polka dot washi serves as a great decorative binding for the page.
The Kaisercraft stickers worked perfectly for my title.
I cut chevron strips from the co-ordinating Cocoa Vanilla paper.
A bit of bling & I was done.

Do you document in a travellers notebook?
I'd love to hear how you use them!

Thanks for stopping by.

"Sunday Vibes" - Lydia

Happy Sunday fellow Scrappery peeps, I hope you are all having a relaxed last day of the week. Today I am back to share another 12x12 layout using the "Jade" kits. I love these kits because of the fun bright colours with the add of florals and elements.

Todays layout is featuring the chevon 12x12 cut file sheet from KaiserCraft which is in the TSK.

If you are like me and love to do lots of embellishing on your layouts don't be scared to do a little bit of fussy cutting. All the paper embellishments I have used on this layout are all from the PLK cut a par sheets.

I knew I wanted to use some of the KaiserCraft paper blooms as I don't normally use embellishments that give too much dimension. But I love how they look on this layout. I did also add a mini flair from my stash.

I love how fun the KaiserCraft cut file sheet gives to this page with one of the pieces of patterned paper from the TSK and  love how bright and colorful it is.

I hope you all have a lovely Sunday and end up doing a bit of scrapping during the day.

Jade Project Life and a Layout: London!

This month my layouts and Project Life spreads are going to feature my daughter's trip to London with her ballet class since I consistently fail these days to capture day to day life in photos. Thank goodness for a selfie obsessed teen who has a bigger social life than me!!

This layout and spread feature lots of different papers from the main scrapbooking kit (TSK) as well as Project Life cards from the Pretty Little Kit (PLK) and gorgeous embellishments from the Bits & Pieces Kit (BPK).

My project life spread features Aine with some of her ballet buddies and of course the title card for the spread!

I used the plain mint green cardstock in the PLK For my title card. I used a doily and small alphas from the BPK, the chevron piece is from a Cocoa Vanilla paper in the main kit. The stamp is also from the PLK. The gold letters are from the past Nigella kit.

The "This was..." card and the cut out embellishments are from the PLK from a Cocoa Vanilla cut apart sheet. The pink rhinestones are from the TSK

This photo and the Snapchat graphic she added were perfect, so I used only minimal embellishment, some words from a paper in the TSK and some clear rhinestones from the Nigella BPK.

The layout I did for this week features the teal ombre Simple Stories Heart paper as a background to the Kaisercraft chevron die cut paper both in the TSK. I really love that effect!

As always I used lots of layers to build up my page. Here you can see labels and a heart embellishment from the Cocoa Daisy cut apart sheets in the PLK.  I tucked in a doily under the photo and some of the mini blooms found in the TSK and BPK! The die cut leaves come from the Pretty Little Pieces set.

I fussy cut some flowers that I tucked in under the right of the flower. Again I layered paper scraps under the photo and added the "Hello Happiness" title.

To finish off the layout, I used some of the teal paper and printed some journaling onto it, cut it into strips and added it to the layout. I like the way the teal in the journaling balanced the teal at the top of the paper and in the Project Life on the other side.

Once again I added strips on the hole punched edge to finish off the layout and Project Life spread and tie them together.
