More Cards with Cathi and the Skye Kits!

Hello scrappy friends! It's me, Cathi, back again. This week I would love to share with you my third and final set of cards with the Skye kits! I've run out of card sized scraps to do any more, but the fact that I got 9 cards, three layouts, and two sets of planner pages out of the kits speaks for itself! Amazing value in the kits!

For my first card I used the beautiful Mixed Blessing paper from Cocoa Vanilla Midnight collection found in the main Scrappery Kit (TSK).  I layered a cut out from the Pretty Little Kit (PLK) and added some gorgeous puffy hearts that were a bonus with the kit.  I edged the papers in distress ink and added a sewn border to finish off the card.

For my next card I used the same gorgeous paper from the TSK. I added a doily from the Pretty Little Pieces embellishment pack in the Bits and Pieces Kit (BPK).  Next I added the heart jar and diamond ephemera from the BPK and the Live the Life You Love from the cut out sheet in the PLK.  I edged the base paper in distress ink and finished off the card with the puffy heart stickers and the stitched  border.

For my final card I used the lovely stripey Sophisticated paper from the TSK. The "So Lovely" cut out is from the PLK and I added the grey dots from the BPK. The twine is from my own stash.  I finished the card off again with a sewn border.

A Mini Pocket Letter/Happy Mail with Lisa

Lisa here today to share a project I have created using the Skye kits.

Get ready for Cocoa Vanilla 'Midnight' overload!

Today I have a mini pocket letter which I am going to send to a friend as some Happy Mail.

I am nearing the end of my kits, so this project is perfect to make - it uses up lots of bits & pieces.

I used a coin collectors plastic sleeve, as I really like the size of the squares. Super cute!

I have lots of close ups for you today. Rather than babble on, you can check out the pics - they are pretty self explanatory.

You name it, I have used it. Scraps of paper, tags, stickers, flair.

I have filled quire a few of the pockets with pretties that my Happy Mail recipient can use.

Cathi's May Planner Projects with the Skye Kit

Hello scrappy friends! It's me, Cathi, back again. This week I would love to share some planner projects for May that I have made using the Skye kits and the gorgeous Cocoa Vanilla Studios Midnight collection.  I am nearing the end of my kit and at this point just have paper scraps left which I will use next week to make a final set of card from the kit!  

This first project is a dashboard for my May traveler's notebook. I used the beautiful Mixed Blessing paper from the Cocoa Vanilla Midnight collection for the base of my dashboard, layering the  Moonlight and Inspired papers on top. I added the title "May" using the Thickers from the main Scrappery Kit (TSK). The papers are also from the TSK.  The puffy hearts are a bonus item that came with the Skye kits and flower die cut is from the Bits and Pieces Kit (BPK) and the enamel dots are from the Pretty Little Kit (PLK). 

This notebook houses my calendar and journal as well as May goals and habit trackers. I am currently loving my planning style, a monthly calendar and daily journal and record of each day. I write down my list of things I plan to do and fill in with thoughts and happenings.  I have used the kit to make my dashboard and embellish lots of my pages.

For this page, I made myself an inspirational layout on the left side for the start of the month.  I used the Cocoa Vanilla Moonlight paper in the TSK for the base of the layout. I added a picture frame from the die cuts in the BPK.  The Shine Bright cutout comes from the PLK, and the chipboard hearts are from the TSK.  My typical daily journal these days is on the right. I do a bit of lettering, write in my plans the night before and my happenings in the evenings.  I used strips of the Inspire paper from the TSK as a faux washi, and for the little flags I used to decorate my page. The clear sticker flowers and heart mason jar are from the BPK.

I love how clean and simple and fresh my May calendar turned out!!  The large heart flower and leaves are all die cuts from the BPK.  The clear stickers are also from the BPK and the Remember cut out is from the PLK.

For my final project I am showing my habit tracker and goals page.  Again, I simply used lots of the clear stickers found in the BPK to embellish this.  I am getting down to my last bits and pieces now literally, as I have also done a card set for next weeks projects!

Bloom & Grow Layout - with Lisa using the SKYE kits 💜

Lisa here today sharing a layout using the Skye kits.

My sister had her first baby recently, which is very exciting - it's so lovely to have a new little nephew.

Not only to cuddle but to scrapbook!

I went with a 8.5 X 11 layout, I have been doing a few pages this size recently - just to mix things up a bit. It also works quite well when scrapping a smaller/single photo.

Isn't Noah just adorable 💙

So most of the projects I have done so far with the Skye kits have been pretty soft pastels & florals.

I am not about girl being pink & boys being blue by any means, I did however want a softer more neutral look for this photo.

I picked out some blue, grey & white pieces to use as a basis for my layout, who would have thought there were so many no pink, peach pastels in this collection/kit.

Limiting what you have to work with can make things much easier than becoming overwhelmed.

How perfect is the jar of hearts embellishment!

The Vellum layer softens everything.

I love the Silver Freckled Fawn puffy hearts they add a great blingy element without being too over the top.

Beautiful Girls Layout with Cathi and the Skye Kit

Hello scrappy friends! It's me, Cathi, back again. This week I would love to share another traveler's notebook layout I have made using the Skye kits which feature the gorgeous Cocoa Vanilla Studios Midnight collection. This week I added a little mixed media to my layout with the gorgeous Colour Kit (TCK)!! 

This week I decided to do a two page spread in my traveler's notebook.  I used the gorgeous whitewashed wood paper from the Cocoa Vanilla Studio paper called Bright from the main Scrapbooking Kit (TSK).  I used a photo of my eldest daughter and two of her friends getting ready for a dance. Sigh, they grow up too fast!  In this closeup you can see the gorgeous liquid watercolours I used from the Colour Kit (TCK). To add them I used the waterbrush included in the kit and had fun mixing them around. I used the stencil included in the kit to add the gold hearts and dots. The flag die cut came from the Bits and Pieces Kit (BPK).

Here you can see more of my mixed media watercolour background. On top of the photo, I added a chipboard flower and the bloom and grow flair from the TSK. The all smiles is from the ephemera pack in the BPK.  The x pattern stickers you can see on the background are clear stickers that are also from the BPK. 

The left side of the layout is a simple title. The beautiful die cut is from the TSK. The purple letters that say girls and the word stickers are both from the Pretty Little Kit (PLK).
