Cathi's August Traveler's Notebook Layout and Planner Pages with the Amora Kit

Hello scrappy friends! It's me, Cathi, back again. This week I wanted to do a layout, but I just don't do full size 12x12 layouts anymore (4 big storage boxes of 3-dimensional layouts that don't fit in albums kinda burned me out!).  I love being able to add a layout or two each month in my A5 traveler's notebook though and have learned to use flatter less dimensional things to make my layouts. I've also added some bonus planner pages to this blog post of my August notebook decor using the Amora kit. I hope you enjoy!!

The base of my two-page traveler's notebook spread is the gorgeous wood grain Bright & Beautiful paper from the Cocoa Vanilla Happiness collection found in the main Scrapbooking Kit (TSK).

This first closeup of the left side of my spread I have used one of the polaroid cut-outs from the Pretty Little Kit (PLK). The 3 x 5 paper layers are also part of the Project Life cards in the PLK.  I added the heart ephemera from the TSK and the cardstock stickers from the PLK.

In this photo you can see the ephemera pieces from the TSK and the cardstock stickers from the PLK.

In the final closeup for the layout you can see all the layers I used, ephemera flowers and leaves, lovely word and Happy Snaps flair all from the TSK.

I had to use more of the kit to decorate my August notebook. I used stickers from the Planner Babe box along with lots of ephmera pieces from the TSK. The black clip is also from the Planner Babe box.  I love the colors in this kit and how the planner stickers work with the Cocoa Vanilla Happiness collection.

I always have a habit tracker page and a goals page and I used the clear stickers from the PLK.

Finally, I alway love a fun inspirational layout at the start of my daily journals so I used a cut out from the PLK. Some scraps of paper from the TSK, and the beautiful die cut flowers from the Bits & Pieces Kit (BPK).

I love working with the kits in my planner, both for planner pages and layouts!!  I hope you enjoyed the planner projects and will consider subscribing. You can find the subscriptions HERE.  Hope to see you back soon!!

Lisa with a 12X12 Layout The Amora kits

Hi there, Lisa here to share a layout using the Amora Kits ๐Ÿ’“

Now I know nearly every scrapper there ever was has already created beautiful pages with the Floral wreath that is from Cocoa Vanilla's 'Happiness' collection.

However I could not resist using it!

Here is my take on it.

I wanted to keep it fairly simple, as most of the work is already done for you. The beautiful florals and ink spots are just stunning.

My goal was to maintain the wreath as the main feature and duplicate some fo the floral by creating layers and depth.

I added quite a few of the die cut floral pieces to do this, adhering them with foam tape.

Some neutral layers and a pretty doily to matte the photo.

Here are some close ups of the layers and details.

Some tiny word stickers and sequins always add the final touches.

Adding a flair always adds another great feature and focal point.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have enjoyed my share.

Make sure you check out our kits and other goodies in the SHOP.

Bloom & Grow Layout - with Lisa using the SKYE kits ๐Ÿ’œ

Hi There,

Lisa here today sharing a layout using the Skye kits.

My sister had her first baby recently, which is very exciting - it's so lovely to have a new little nephew.

Not only to cuddle but to scrapbook!

I went with a 8.5 X 11 layout, I have been doing a few pages this size recently - just to mix things up a bit. It also works quite well when scrapping a smaller/single photo.

Isn't Noah just adorable ๐Ÿ’™

So most of the projects I have done so far with the Skye kits have been pretty soft pastels & florals.
I am not about girl being pink & boys being blue by any means, I did however want a softer more neutral look for this photo.

I picked out some blue, grey & white pieces to use as a basis for my layout, who would have thought there were so many no pink, peach pastels in this collection/kit.

Limiting what you have to work with can make things much easier than becoming overwhelmed.

Here are some closeups of the layout & the detail.

How perfect is the jar of hearts embellishment!

The Vellum layer softens everything.

I love the Silver Freckled Fawn puffy hearts they add a great blingy element without being too over the top.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have enjoyed my share this week.

Beautiful Girls Layout with Cathi and the Skye Kit

Hello scrappy friends! It's me, Cathi, back again. This week I would love to share another traveler's notebook layout I have made using the Skye kits which feature the gorgeous Cocoa Vanilla Studios Midnight collection. This week I added a little mixed media to my layout with the gorgeous Colour Kit (TCK)!!

This week I decided to do a two page spread in my traveler's notebook.  I used the gorgeous whitewashed wood paper from the Cocoa Vanilla Studio paper called Bright from the main Scrapbooking Kit (TSK)I used a photo of my eldest daughter and two of her friends getting ready for a dance. Sigh, they grow up too fast!  In this closeup you can see the gorgeous liquid watercolours I used from the Colour Kit (TCK). To add them I used the waterbrush included in the kit and had fun mixing them around. I used the stencil included in the kit to add the gold hearts and dots. The flag die cut came from the Bits and Pieces Kit (BPK).

Here you can see more of my mixed media watercolour background. On top of the photo, I added a chipboard flower and the bloom and grow flair from the TSK. The all smiles is from the ephemera pack in the BPK.  The x pattern stickers you can see on the background are clear stickers that are also from the BPK

The left side of the layout is a simple title. The beautiful die cut is from the TSK. The purple letters that say girls and the word stickers are both from the Pretty Little Kit (PLK)

I hadn't done a two page spread for a while and I really like the way it turned outI hope you enjoyed my layout with the Skye kit and will consider subscribing. You can find the subscriptions HERE. I've got another layout and more cards coming up soon! Hope to see you back soon!!

Beautiful Together Layout with Lisa & the Skye kits

Hi there, Lisa here today to share a layout using the Skye kits.

I have been wanting to scrap this photo of my sister & her partner for a while now. Just a case of waiting for the perfect paper/collection.
The Skye kits hit it out of the park with so many possibilities with all the Cocoa Vanilla 'Midnight' goodies to choose from.

I am so happy with how it turned out & its created a real feature page for a special photo.

My sister had just been proposed to ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—

We got this super gorgeous die cut piece & background in our kits.

I have seen lots of people create with this, with some really stunning outcomes.

I decided to use it a little but differently.

I offset the die cut by turning it slightly so it create a different look on the pattered backing.

In this photo you can see how I offset the die cut to the background paper.

I decided I wanted a stitched outline. I use a large eraser to sit behind the background (under where I want to pierce) then use my paper piercer to create holes. I do this by eye estimating the spacing, I am not looking for perfection, I just want it pleasing to the eye.
If you feel the need, you can certainly make small dots with a pencil first.

I did a simple back stitch with a double strand of gold thread.
A note...when I applied the adhesive the die cut to attach it to the background paper, I was careful to avoid outing any adhesive on the outer circle as I knew I would be stitching it.

Some close ups...lots of soft pretty layers.

The doilies from the kit are a great way to create layers softly.

The words are a fun & easy way to create a title.

Kits & collections make creating a layout much simpler, as all the matching up is already done for you. I try to pick out a few pieces to work with at a time, to simplify things.

Thanks for stopping by I hope you have enjoyed my share today.

Cinderella to the Ball: A Traveler's Notebook Layout with the Skye Kits

Hello Scrappy Friends! It's me, Cathi, back again. This week I have another TN layout using the gorgeous Cocoa Vanilla Midnight collection featured in the Skye Kits from the Scrappery. I love to do a few each month to go in my insert as part of my memory keeping for the month.  This week I have a layout of my eldest daughter and her boyfriend (!)  The story behind my title for this layout is that she played Cinderella in her ballet school's show last year and her boyfriend here was her Prince Charming. Of course while they were doing the show they weren't going out, but romance must have blossomed eventually because after our summer these two have been an item!!!  So of course when they went to her formal ball, I had to tease them about Cinderella finally making it to the ball!

The background paper I used is the Inspired paper from the Midnight collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio, this comes in the main Scrapbooking Kit (TSK).  I layered a lot of die cuts, chipboard pieces and stickers around the photo I used.  In this close up you can see the XOXO and flower die cuts from the Bits and Pieces Kit (BPK). The chipboard flags come from the TSK and the TY Ball alphas are from the Pretty Little Kit (PLK)The beautiful daughter cardstock stickers are from the BPK.

In this close up you can see the watercolor ink that I splashed around the layout which is from the Colour Kit (TCK). Again you can see the layers of die cuts from the BPK and chipboard pieces from the TSK. The silver foil plus symbol puffy stickers are from a bonus gift for subscribers.

I love how the layout came out and am glad I documented this memory! I hope you enjoyed my second layout with the Skye kit and will consider subscribing. You can find the subscriptions HERE. I've got some planner designs, some cards and another layout coming up soon! Hope to see you back soon!!

Snap Chat Moments Layout using the SKYE kits

Hi Scrappery Peeps,

Lisa here today to share a layout using the gorgeous Skye kits.

I have kept this layout fairly clean & simple as it I used a 8.5 x 11 layout & I have used the stunning patterned papers - which create their own beautiful back grounds.

I used some of the pre cut project life mattes to back the photos. I also used some of the pre cut frames to create some layers. (TIP* Cut these in half so you get more pieces to use)

A few enamel dots & a banner on the top right help bring everything together.

The die cut flowers were a perfect subtle addition to the page - I placed them at different heights some on foam tape & some on double sided tape.

I used some of the die cut words & the super cute tiny stickers to create my title. I love mixing it up & using more than one type of alpha.

The chipboard bunting was a perfect finish to bring all the colours together & put something in that corner in order to create a visual triangle on the layout. This makes a layout more pleasing to the eye.

Please pop over to the shop to check out our kits - the value is amazing!

Shine: A Traveler's Notebook Layout with the Skye Kit!

Hello scrappy friends!! Cathi back with a traveler's notebook layout using the gorgeous Skye kit and the beautiful Cocoa Vanilla Midnight collection!!  I love using my A5 traveler's notebook to do layouts these days! I have boxes and boxes of the large 12x12 size layouts but I never really look at them anymore. With my traveler's notebook, I have easy access to them and can file them away in monthly notebooks!

My layout uses the beautiful Sunset Strip paper as its background, I love the beautiful watercolor wash effect of the darker colors on this paper, really stunning.  You can find all the papers in the Midnight collection in the main Scrappery Kit (TSK).  The photo is of my daughter in her Christmas performance of the Nutcracker with the regional youth ballet here in Ireland. I just love this photo the photographer captured! She is growing up so fast!

In this photo you can see that I've taken a doily from the Pretty Little Kit embellishments kit and used that to layer my photo. I popped the photo up on a bit of foam tape to give it some dimension.  The flag and the leaves are from the die cuts in the Bits and Pieces Kit (BPK)   The gorgeous silver hearts were a bonus for subscribers this month!  The love you and heart are chipboard shapes, also from the TSK.

In the lower part of the layout I've layered several flower die cuts from the BPK and used the Shine die cut from the TSK.  I love using the flairs and you can find those in the main TSK as well.  The be yourself and so lovely word stickers are from the Pretty Little Kit (PLK). I finished off the layout with a few Pink Fresh studio dots from the  PLK as well.

I love how the layout came out and am glad I documented this memory! I hope you enjoyed my second first layout with the Skye kit and will consider subscribing. You can find the subscriptions HERE. I've got some planner designs, some cards and another layout coming up soon! Hope to see you back soon!!

Olivia Kits: Traveler's Notebook Layout

Hello again my crafty friends! Cathi back again with a traveler's notebook layout featuring the gorgeous Olivia kits!!  As I mentioned last week, our beloved cat (Unfortunately named Stumpy due to her stumpy tail, broken by a mean tomcat. My husband named her!!) passed away at 18 after a very short illness, thankfully. We were all heartbroken, especially because she has always been in such good health, and we just weren't prepared for it.  I knew I needed to do a layout as a tribute to her memory and the Cocoa Vanilla More than Words collection in the Olivia kits had some wonderful quotes and words about love that worked perfectly.

For the background paper I used on the photo page, I took the black floral Gossamer paper from the main Scrapbooking Kit (TSK).  The black tones in with the gorgeous colouring on our kitty and with the subject matter of a memorial page and mourning.  The heart stickers are chipboard stickers from the TSK and the "wonderful" tab and text stickers are cardstock stickers from the Pretty Little Kit (PLK).

In this photo you can see the gorgeous "You are Loved" flair button from the Bits and Pieces Kit (BPK). The ephemera "my darling" and chipboard banner are from the TSK.

On my journal page I have used the gray thickers from the TSK to spell out Stumpy's name. The cardstock sticker "so very thankful for you" is from the PLK and the heart stickers and heart and arrow chipboard stickers are from the TSK.

These kits are just so versatile: planner projects, cards, scrapbooking, even mixed media!  I will have projects in all these genres coming up in the next few weeks! I hope that you will come and have a look at the kits and consider subscribing!!  You can find the subscriptions HERE. Hope to see you here soon!!

'magic' - Lydia

Good morning beautiful creative people, Lydia back finally to share another project. It's been a long time! It's been a crazy start to the year and getting used to grade 12 and all that it has install for me this year, including the huge workload that has taken weeks to get used to. But I am finally on top and ready to get fully organised and start creating and sharing again.

What better way to start sharing again with the brand new 'Olivia' kits. These kits are so sunning filled with the beautiful pastel colours of the new Cocoa Vanilla Studio collection 'More Than Words'.

So today I am sharing my first creation of a 12x12 layout using these kits.

I always find it so easy to create using colours and elements that I love. So working with the pinks, blues and butterflies this layout came together quite quick.

For this layout I did go for a more minimalistic style using the vellum black and white florals with the pops of pinks and corals from the butterflies. I also love the contrast from the greys to the bold black of those gorgeous Thickers.

Of course I had to add some dimension using these KaiserCraft florals as a cluster under the photo.

On the opposite bottom side of the image to the KiaserCraft florals, I added a few pieces of ephemera from the ephemera pack as well as a ever beautiful flair from the collection. I also added some enamel dots/hearts around the whole layout too.

Over the whole layout are fussy cut butterflies from one of the 12x12 papers. I paired the butterflies with some of the vellum florals. I love how they are give the feeling that they are fling around the page.

And that is my first project using these kits. My fingers are crossed that you all receive your kits very soon to be able to start creating with such beautiful products.

Have a great Sunday.
Lydia xxx
