Lisa with a 12X12 Layout share using the Amora Kits

Hey There.

Lisa back again, to share a layout using the 'Amora' Kits.

Today's layout is a totally different look achieved with the same kits. I am sure you will agree these kits are at glance mostly soft florals with lots of pink and other pastels, as they contain the gorgeous Cocoa Vanilla 'Happiness' collection.

So as you can see this is a very BLUE layout, almost monochromatic. Different shades of blue with some touches if white.

I like to challenge myself and also try to think out side the square, I think it helps keep things interesting and extends the usability of a kit.

Once I decide to do a layout like this, I pick out as many papers and embellishments from the kit in this colour - I may not use them all but I have a selection to work with.

This design is very simple and clean, but still allows you to build the layers.
I basically cut each element in half and replicated it mirrored on each side.

You can see the photo is almost a little over exposed with a blue tinge, which is also accentuated by the blue surrounding it.

Punching some shapes can help increase the amount of elements you have to work with in the same colour or coordinating.

The word pieces from Cocoa Vanilla make creating a title super simple.

Here you can see I embossed the first/last layer of white card layering to add more interest and texture. It also helps everything work together more cohesively.

Some ephemera and enamel dots as always help bring everything together.

I hope you have enjoyed my share today and it encourages you to look at your kits and stash differently too.

Make sure you stop by the shop to check out all the goodies and kits available.

Have a great day :-)

Lisa with a 12X12 Layout The Amora kits

Hi there, Lisa here to share a layout using the Amora Kits ๐Ÿ’“

Now I know nearly every scrapper there ever was has already created beautiful pages with the Floral wreath that is from Cocoa Vanilla's 'Happiness' collection.

However I could not resist using it!

Here is my take on it.

I wanted to keep it fairly simple, as most of the work is already done for you. The beautiful florals and ink spots are just stunning.

My goal was to maintain the wreath as the main feature and duplicate some fo the floral by creating layers and depth.

I added quite a few of the die cut floral pieces to do this, adhering them with foam tape.

Some neutral layers and a pretty doily to matte the photo.

Here are some close ups of the layers and details.

Some tiny word stickers and sequins always add the final touches.

Adding a flair always adds another great feature and focal point.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have enjoyed my share.

Make sure you check out our kits and other goodies in the SHOP.

A Mini Pocket Letter/Happy Mail with Lisa

Hi there.

Lisa here today to share a project I have created using the Skye kits.

Get ready for Cocoa Vanilla 'Midnight' overload!

Today I have a mini pocket letter which I am going to send to a friend as some Happy Mail.

I am nearing the end of my kits, so this project is perfect to make - it uses up lots of bits & pieces.

I used a coin collectors plastic sleeve, as I really like the size of the squares. Super cute!

I have lots of close ups for you today. Rather than babble on, you can check out the pics - they are pretty self explanatory.

You name it, I have used it. Scraps of paper, tags, stickers, flair.

I have filled quire a few of the pockets with pretties that my Happy Mail recipient can use.

Stickers, Tags, Wood Veneer, sequins & Bling.

Make sire you check out our kits & all the other goodies on our website.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great week.

Bloom & Grow Layout - with Lisa using the SKYE kits ๐Ÿ’œ

Hi There,

Lisa here today sharing a layout using the Skye kits.

My sister had her first baby recently, which is very exciting - it's so lovely to have a new little nephew.

Not only to cuddle but to scrapbook!

I went with a 8.5 X 11 layout, I have been doing a few pages this size recently - just to mix things up a bit. It also works quite well when scrapping a smaller/single photo.

Isn't Noah just adorable ๐Ÿ’™

So most of the projects I have done so far with the Skye kits have been pretty soft pastels & florals.
I am not about girl being pink & boys being blue by any means, I did however want a softer more neutral look for this photo.

I picked out some blue, grey & white pieces to use as a basis for my layout, who would have thought there were so many no pink, peach pastels in this collection/kit.

Limiting what you have to work with can make things much easier than becoming overwhelmed.

Here are some closeups of the layout & the detail.

How perfect is the jar of hearts embellishment!

The Vellum layer softens everything.

I love the Silver Freckled Fawn puffy hearts they add a great blingy element without being too over the top.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have enjoyed my share this week.

Make sure you check us out on Instagram, Facebook & our website where you can also what goodies we have in the shop.

Planner Spread with Lisa - using the Skye kits

Hi there Scrappy Peeps,

Lisa here with today with something a little different.

Yes, first & foremost I am a traditional scrapbooker, I do also make cards, tags, Project Life pages, Travellers Notebook pages, embellishments, Happy Mail & Planner spreads.

Pretty much anything to do with paper really...lol

Today I have a Planner Spread for you I created using the Skye kits ๐Ÿ˜

I try to plan regularly, but it doesn't always happen.

I have a 'Mambi' Happy Planner this year.

I have tried many Planners, searching for that elusive Planner peace.

Here is a look at the full spread.

I used lots of bits & pieces from all the kits. The stickers work really well as they are a great size.

I cut pieces of patterned paper to fill some of the boxes.

As much as I love top pretty up a planner spread, it still needs to be very functional for me.

I used a circle punch to punch out partial circles from co-ordianting paper for the date icons.

Here is a closer look at the left & right sides.

How cute is my Month Jar! The cute jar of hearts ephemera piece with the Pink Fresh alphas were perfect to highlight the month.

The transparent stickers add a really nice touch to the pages.

I did add some random icon stickers from my stash to stretch things a bit further.

Sorry I don't have as many photos this week, just felt these few pics pretty much show it all.

I hope you have enjoyed me mixing things up & showing how versatile out kits are.

Have a great week.

Beautiful Together Layout with Lisa & the Skye kits

Hi there, Lisa here today to share a layout using the Skye kits.

I have been wanting to scrap this photo of my sister & her partner for a while now. Just a case of waiting for the perfect paper/collection.
The Skye kits hit it out of the park with so many possibilities with all the Cocoa Vanilla 'Midnight' goodies to choose from.

I am so happy with how it turned out & its created a real feature page for a special photo.

My sister had just been proposed to ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—

We got this super gorgeous die cut piece & background in our kits.

I have seen lots of people create with this, with some really stunning outcomes.

I decided to use it a little but differently.

I offset the die cut by turning it slightly so it create a different look on the pattered backing.

In this photo you can see how I offset the die cut to the background paper.

I decided I wanted a stitched outline. I use a large eraser to sit behind the background (under where I want to pierce) then use my paper piercer to create holes. I do this by eye estimating the spacing, I am not looking for perfection, I just want it pleasing to the eye.
If you feel the need, you can certainly make small dots with a pencil first.

I did a simple back stitch with a double strand of gold thread.
A note...when I applied the adhesive the die cut to attach it to the background paper, I was careful to avoid outing any adhesive on the outer circle as I knew I would be stitching it.

Some close ups...lots of soft pretty layers.

The doilies from the kit are a great way to create layers softly.

The words are a fun & easy way to create a title.

Kits & collections make creating a layout much simpler, as all the matching up is already done for you. I try to pick out a few pieces to work with at a time, to simplify things.

Thanks for stopping by I hope you have enjoyed my share today.

Card & Tag set using the SKYE kits - with Lisa

Hi there Scrappery Peeps ๐Ÿ’•

Welcome back to another share.
Today I am sharing a Card & two tags I have created using the 'Skye' kits.

I love the soft water colour florals in the kits. We also got some amazing liquid watercolours in the colour kit to play with.

I popped a tiny dot of each of these paints on my craft mat then blended with water until I got the desired strength.

The colour pigment level is so intense & amazing.

I used some of the floral printed patterned paper from the collection (black outline on white background) I coloured in the flowers with the watercolours, then fussy cut them out.

As you can see I got several different shades of pink & purple by adjusting the amount of water with the pigment.

The 'Skye' Kits & the 'Cocoa Vanilla' collection 'Midnight' have lots of beautiful floral elements to choose from. They are mostly in soft pastels & a watercolour look.

By making your own painted images this stretches your kit even further whilst having a play with some mixed media. This level of mixed media is great for someone wanting to give it a go without getting too messy!

This simple yet pretty card shows how I used some of the pre cut chipboard & die-cuts from the kit to compliment the hand painted flowers I created.

There are so many pretty elements in the 'Skye' Kits, which makes it so easy to create a card or tag just by creating some simple layers.

I love the silver Puffy hearts from Freckled Fawn.

Thanks for stopping by the blog, I hope you have enjoyed my share today.

Make sure you check out kits & more in the shop.

"I Heart This" - TN Spread with Lisa & the 'Skye' kits

Hi There Scrappy Peeps ๐Ÿ˜€
Today I am back with a Travellers notebook spread using the SKYE kits ♥︎

I scrapped a photo of our two beautiful girls Pepper (the Spoodle) & Sadie the Mini Foxy.

These kits & all the Cocoa Vanilla 'Midnight" collection goodness are sooooo beautiful.
Not to mention they are jam packed! I've only made a couple of projects with the Skye kits so far, so I am at the point of still having so much to choose from it can be a little overwhelming.
My tip for when this happens is to just start & limit your supplies initially.
Pick a few patterns & bits of ephemera out to start with  - you can always add as you go.

I knew I wanted to use the die cut words 'Heart' & 'You' as part of my title.
So I used a glitter Thicker {I} to start my title.
I knew as pretty as it is it was going to blend in & possibly get lost on the page.
So as you can see I made a little bit if a feature of it - to help it stand out.

Here are some more close ups top sdhow you the detail.
The chipboard shapes are so beautiful & this floral vase worked perfectly as a feature.

I love the silver hearts from 'Freckled Fawn' & felt they really helped finish off this spread & worked well with the enamel dots.

Some tiny word stickers & a ticket to finish it off.

Did you notice I used some of the packaging for my photo matt ๐Ÿ˜‰
Thanks for popping by, I hope you have enjoyed my share today & you get some crafty time in soon!

Snap Chat Moments Layout using the SKYE kits

Hi Scrappery Peeps,

Lisa here today to share a layout using the gorgeous Skye kits.

I have kept this layout fairly clean & simple as it I used a 8.5 x 11 layout & I have used the stunning patterned papers - which create their own beautiful back grounds.

I used some of the pre cut project life mattes to back the photos. I also used some of the pre cut frames to create some layers. (TIP* Cut these in half so you get more pieces to use)

A few enamel dots & a banner on the top right help bring everything together.

The die cut flowers were a perfect subtle addition to the page - I placed them at different heights some on foam tape & some on double sided tape.

I used some of the die cut words & the super cute tiny stickers to create my title. I love mixing it up & using more than one type of alpha.

The chipboard bunting was a perfect finish to bring all the colours together & put something in that corner in order to create a visual triangle on the layout. This makes a layout more pleasing to the eye.

Please pop over to the shop to check out our kits - the value is amazing!
